Ok then, guilty party '06 Rock Shox Tora Air Sprung...

Decided like the goon I am that I 'could do with a little air in the old shockeroo's' - Mistake.

Applied air via shock pump, forks deflate to barley 55psi. Repeat process, forks deflate to 55psi. Repeat process, forks deflate to 55psi.

Any advice? I'm guessing a seal has gone or the air fairies have added a hole to the forks. Can't really afford new shocks and wheel at the mo. Is there something I can do to fix it?

Sounds like a seal but never seen inside one so not sure. Might also be a leaky valve? Try cleaning the valve out and making sure you've pulled the tip of it all the way out with some needle nosed pliers or something after you've taken the shock pump off.

Try looking at the exploded diagram and service manual on here http://www.sram.com/en/service/rockshox/view.php?catID=1&subcatID=10

Probably worth taking them apart if you can just to see what you find, if not then your probably looking at a cartridge service. £85 for a bit of TF Tuned lovin' http://www.tftunedshox.com/service/rockshox.aspx

Agree with what bens said, defo check valve before stripping.

They are relatively simple inside if your confident you can strip them. Id imagine its the catridge thats failed though, alot of the rock shox from around that time had problems with air/oil leaks.

Up to you if you try to sort em yourself or get flooksy to do them for you.

Who is this flooksy?

So the valve being the inlet valve where you attach the shock pump?

Indeed.

Same method as you'd use on a leaky innertube valve core.
