Just got a Trek 4300 and i'm looking to get into trail riding around Leeds. Did have a Kona Fire Mountain but it got nicked before I had the chance to take it out properly, grr. Anyway, I'm a beginner so am just looking for some good, challenging trails and downhill sections, and preferably some advice on how best to ride them! Look forward to hearing from you all.

Fran

Hi Fran, welcome!

I'd say Calverley woods would be a good place to start on the new bike, then maybe check out stainburn.

sorry fran, probably should have been clearer where i would be, if you go to the car park at the bottom and turn left at the gate, carry on down the track till you see another gate with two massive houses on your left. About 100ft on yr right there is a trail follow that up, we are usually around there :)

No worries, didn't realise how big the place was though! I come from the other side (I think), i think it's wood lane? From there would I just follow the trails downwards? Think I'm going again on thursday, will have to try and find where you mean!
